I have "The American Patriot's Bible" that's loaded with awesome American history. Like quote by a Lebanon ambassador to the U.N., Charles Malik, said of America, "The good (in the United States) would never have come into being without the blessing and power of Jesus Christ. ... Whoever tries to conceive the American word without taking full account of the suffering and love and salvation of Christ is only dreaming. I know how embarrassing this matter is to politicians, bureaucrats, businessmen and cynics but, whatever these honored men think, the irrefutable truth is that the soul of America is, at its best and highest, Christian."

What did Jesus say? A prophet has no honor in his own country. Look at this man's insight of America and he was Lebanese! He said this in the '50s, before we went post Christian. Happy birthday, America! God loves You!

Just a word on health care. Our forefathers lived and breathed Christianity and never thought America would ever lose its moral compass because they never imaged the church being silenced and emasculated. Therefore, they never thought the government needed to dictate how it's citizens should behave. God and his church were suppose to do that! So, America minus an unengaged church, government fills the vacuum. And as Reagan said, the scariest words to hear are, "I'm from the government and I'm here to help." Yet, as Johnny Cash sang, "I don't like it but I guess things happen that way." Keep praying.

I'm glad God doesn't have a political or religious affiliation! Gives everyone a chance.
