We are writing to thank Rep. Lueck for his work on the House Agriculture Finance and Policy Committees this session.
As chairs of House committees dealing with agriculture issues, we have appreciated the knowledge, expertise, and input that Rep. Lueck brings to the table.
Rep. Lueck is a strong advocate for all agriculture and the jobs and economic activity it creates. Rep. Lueck works especially hard for sectors of agriculture unique to his district, such as forestry. Last year, Rep. Lueck helped ensure that the forestry industry had a seat at the table when the advisory panel was created to make recommendation on the new production agriculture research funding going to the University of Minnesota.
Additionally, by careful reading of legislation before him, it was Rep. Lueck who broadened the proposed harvesting methods that would qualify for the advanced biofuels and biomass thermal production incentive programs. Without Rep. Lueck's input, some areas of forestry production would not have qualified for these programs.
