Huge applause for the Pequot Lakes High School Day of Caring on May 6. From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., we were fortunate to have five incredibly hard-working and task-committed student volunteers loading brush, raking and hauling leaves and reeds, repairing a walkway, removing bushes, etc.; tasks that we find extremely difficult to perform at our age.
Regardless of the task, they performed with a positive attitude and dedication to do it right; their optimism and laughter were with them throughout the day.
We are extremely grateful for all their hard work and cheerful presence.
Also, thank you to all the students and staff members who made this a day to be appreciated throughout the community. Special thanks to the teacher in charge, Alex Kunesh, and Principal Chip Rankin. We are grateful.
