For the second time in 16 years, the intelligent, qualified Democrat gets the majority of the popular vote and we get stuck with the Republican booby prize. How does this happen? How can the winner lose?
Over 129 million people voted and chose Hillary. The electoral college is comprised of 538 people with no specific qualifications and 290 of them decided who the next president would be. It's time to eliminate this archaic practice. But this won't happen since we now have a Republican president, senate and house and the Republicans have benefited by this archaic practice.
What about impeachment of Trump for conduct unbecoming a president? He certainly displayed a lot of that during his campaign. He showed his true self. And if he has been this way for 70 years, he won't change now. He made one true statement during his whole campaign, "The system is rigged." But then added, "But if I win, it's OK." He is the worst example of what we should expect of our president and could do immense damage to our country and around the world.
