This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves ... lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God. 2 Tim. 3:1, 2a & 4b. Sure sounds like 2016!
One of the first Communist leaders, Stalin, I believe, said, "Religion was opium for the masses." Our former governor , who's opium was himself, called religion "a crutch." A Christian group wrote and sang a song about Jesus, their 50-foot crutch. Everyone will need a crutch when Romans 14:11c happens, "... every knee shall bow to Me (Jesus)."
Anyway, the masses has a new opium, entertainment! Look at the movies and how fast they're coming out. Every genre and liking, even Christian movies galore. I enjoy Pure Flix and Affirm movies but I think of the analogy of the rocking chair-you're moving but going anywhere. If all we do is talk and feel but don't walk and do something about those feelings, we're rocking but not moving and doing or bearing fruit! Movies, TV, sports, video games, gambling and so many other ways to keep us busy, to keep us from God and each other. Be sober-2 Thes. 5:8 & Isaiah 55:6&7 "Seek the Lord while He may be found, call on Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and evil men his thoughts. Let him turn to the Lord, and He will have mercy on him, and to our God, for He will freely pardon."
God's not dead, but people act like He is or some don't think God's time is near. Either way of thinking is dangerous! Do Romans 14:11c&d now and be ready and sure. Amen! God Bless.
