I read the Bill Cruz reader opinion letter. I did note he took direct aim at Connie Lyscio for stating her opinion. Also just a reminder, there is a very long history of the private sector attacking those in public school education. Sadly those that attack often seem to be heard more than the teachers doing their jobs for our children and the teaching assistants who tirelessly work with children in the classrooms.
I believe in diversity. I will admit I am fearful of a far-right agenda that excludes diversity and is demanding that religion be brought into government and/or schools. I did not just fall off the turnip truck. I have worked in many areas of Human Services. I believe John Ward supported people in all walks of life, regardless of their ethnicity, lifestyles, cultural or religious beliefs. I believe the newly elected person would be making a tragic mistake not to build on what Mr. Ward tried to do.
I do not know Rep. Heintzeman. I hope he will present all of his constituents also.
