The increase in health care insurance premiums cannot be blamed on Obamacare, but greed in the medical industry.
The government subsidizes medical research and the pharmaceutical companies with taxpayer money. They then pay their CEOs many millions of dollars a year in compensation and hike the price of drugs up every year and sell them back to the same taxpayers. Then you have the insurance companies that have to make their share and pay their CEOs millions of dollars. Do you think any of them care about all the people who can't afford to pay?
Obamacare had a clause that corporations couldn't deduct on their taxes any CEO salaries that were over $500,000. Isn't that all of them? The new GOP health care plan rescinds that law so they can deduct the whole amount. So we can only expect compensations to be raised even higher if they can be taken off their taxes. And as for health care savings accounts, how many people could save up enough to cover even one hospital stay? Be careful what you ask for if you are in such a hurry to repeal Obamacare.
