The year is nearing an end, I sincerely hope we are not facing another full year of President Trump's antics and a group of legislators that will not hold themselves and him accountable. It really is time to do the right thing. Bringing democracy to its knees and humiliating our allies and others will only make us very alone in this world. The world is becoming a smaller place and we are all connected, we just need to decide how we want to be connected. There are other leaders and peoples who know what honor is and what humanity is. We can connect with those that share common good, we need different leaders to do this.
I become fearful watching Vice President Pence sit there quietly and not addressing Trump's complete lack of ethics, I think that lacks courage. I wonder how people can not want a living wage and health care for those in the country they live in and were elected to represent. I realize at times we need to pick our battles, one battle we should not be having is living wages and right to health care. The other battle we should not be having to have is caring for our earth for future generations. Life can be tough enough without fighting what needs to be done.
