It seems to me that the Republicans, with few exception, are directly responsible for the chaos that is prevalent in the nation's capital.
They have forgone their oath of office to represent their constituents. Most of them have allowed the man in the White House to tell them how to think, how to vote and to bow to him, regardless of some of the dangerous policies that he has enacted.
It has been said that General Mattis was the only adult in the room. Where are the adults in the Republican Party? The Republicans own the chaos and the government shutdown. Apparently, they are too afraid of Trump to tell him, "Enough!"
Recently, I received a book from the VFW in which there was the Air Force Core Values. The values were Integrity First, Service Before Self and Excellence In All We Do. I believe it would serve the elected officials well to think long and hard about these values.
