When the school district 181 purchased 160 acres in Baxter one idea was to build a new high school and the middle school would get the current high school. Makes sense as most high students are now driving and there would be ample parking. But Brainerd city officials squelched that idea. No way would Brainerd High be Baxter High. So we we caused two major traffic/parking issues. Middle school kids don't drive, buses and parents' cars have to get in and out twice a day causing major traffic issues while the Brainerd High is land locked with students parking blocks away on city streets. Now they want us to build new roads in Baxter to alleviate those traffic issues. As 181 considers a new long range plan get back to your original plan don't let Brainerd bully you.
