There was another school shooting, the 18th since the beginning of the year. That's an average of three shootings per week. Unbelievable! The response we received from the president consisted of offering his thoughts and condolences. The reason he didn't address common sense gun legislation, nor in all likelihood will Congress, is because the gun lobby owns our politicians. Our government has failed us. We too, however, must take responsibility because we keep electing these people. If you are satisfied with the status quo and are unwilling to try to bring about change, then decide which of your children or grandchildren will stand in front of the next shooter because it can happen anywhere.
