I read with great interest the Aug. 27 Reader Opinion listing numerous numerous personal attributes that we respect and expect that are now missing in society. That is valid point, however, is nothing new. This has been going on for years and to blame this on President Trump is irrational. The letter writer also discussed the problems he is having with lack of respect from his students, up to and including threats to poop in his tubas. I would suggest these problems are parental issues in how these kids were raised and the lack of proper discipline when required, including in the schools, and has nothing to do with President Trump, rather the liberal philosophies that are destroying this country.
