Road improvement and construction is necessary. I usually follow detour signs. This was the case in Brainerd this weekend. I followed the detour route by the theater and immediately as I turned south I encountered a 4-foot-wide by 1-foot-deep sinkhole in the road. It would be advisable to fill the holes in the detour route before directing traffic through this area. I caution the public to avoid this detour until it is fixed. I certainly will.
