How is it that so much money, time, and effort is put into signage for snowmobile trails only to have the riders ignore them? I sit at the end of our road every weekday to wait for my daughter to come home from school. Every time a snowmobiler comes down the trail that crosses our road, which has a stop sign for each direction, not only do they not stop, but they usually accelerate. How is this safe for anyone? Maybe they should be restricted to riding through the forest and not in areas with vehicle traffic and pedestrians! If a vehicle on the road consistently refuses to follow the posted signs, they would be ticketed. Let's start making them follow the rules or stop riding in residential areas.
