Reader Opinion: Global warming?

We've all heard that the proof of the pudding is in the eating. Using the same logic, the proof of global warming is in the warming, and it's not happening.

We've all heard that the proof of the pudding is in the eating. Using the same logic, the proof of global warming is in the warming, and it's not happening.

According to a recent article in Nature News, they report that in the period from 1998 to 2012 the global temperature increased at the miniscule rate of .04 degrees C per decade. If this rate continues for the next 100 years (10 decades) the total change will only be .4 degrees C, as measured by the U.K. Met office in Exeter and the Research Unit at the University of East Anglia in Norwick, U.K.

Some scientists have set up computer models that predict the rate of warming will be .21 degrees C per decade, which over 10 decades would be 2.1 degrees C., or an increase of over 500 percent more than what is actually happening.

We're being asked to spend trillions of dollars to try to correct a problem that is not there at this time. Let's just cool it for a while. We should all be suspicious of the story we are hearing that if we don't act immediately to curb global warming (not happening) that it will be too late. Sounds like high pressure in light of the fact that for the past 17 years our temperature has hardly changed.

A good read is the book "The Politically Incorrect Guide to Global Warming and Environmentalism" by Christopher C. Horner, if you'd like more information on this subject.
