I believe Sen. Karin Housley could spend her time better in the Senate dealing with important state issues than drafting a bill to make purple the state color because she was a fan of Prince. If she feels Minnesota must have a state color, then make it blue for our 10,000 lakes, of which many have been here for thousands of years and many more years to come. Also, they have meant a great deal to our economy, and are beautiful.
The senator is going overboard on this.
