Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or nakedness or danger or sword? For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, well separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:35,38,39. Amen.
Happy and blessed New Year! This greeting coming kind of late, reminds me of an "You know you're in a small town when..." story. "You know you're in a small town when first baby of the year is born in March."
The new year doesn't look much different from last year. In a few days we will peaceably exchange governments, a marvel to the world! Of the people, by the people. You can still hear our forefathers echoing, amen!
I've lived this way for years but just recently heard it described and I challenge you to live this way also. Live loved. What? Live like you know you are loved as Romans 8 describes it, with a blessed assurance Jesus is yours and that he'll never leave you nor forsake you. He's closer than a brother. Romans 8:31b asks if God is for us, who can be against us? Just you yourself, by refusing his free gift of love and acceptance to access to his father and everlasting life. Amen.
I'll say it again, we don't have many choices these day but we can still choose our attitude and having Jesus for me helps mine! Choose life, eternal life, today. Call 888-NEED-HIM, it's a real phone number with someone to talk to about your life and your need for Jesus.
