After an emotional day June 6 on the anniversary of WWII D-Day with memories of

the Normandy invasion at Omaha Beach, I returned home to find my roadside trash container jammed full by a cheap, ignorant, illegal dumper.

I called the Crow Wing County Sheriff's office and received great support from Deputy Eric, who took evidence with him (receipt from Cub Foods, bike tires, CO2 canisters) to investigate. I appreciated his concern, thoroughness and support.

People should know there are places to bring garbage for $5/bag at Crosslake, Mission, and Ideal Recycling stations. There is also recycling for paper, plastic, aluminum, tin, and glass. In the future, I hope people can be more considerate and

responsible.
