Kurt Martin and his friend Cyril Durrenberger seem to be using the County Road 115 reconstruction issue for his political purpose (Martin ran against Paul Thiede in the last election). I live on the subject road and have attended the mentioned meetings. I signed the petition but changed my mind after I thought it over more carefully. If the county got a variance from the state and federal specifications a road could be designed and built that would preserve the road's beauty and greatly improve the safety for pedestrians. Many of the trees that would have been removed for the reconstruction were blown down by the July 12 storm.
