Regarding Mr. Samp's Reader Opinion Feb. 19, Mr. Green's Feb. 18, first I must say I'm impressed that Mr. Samp was actually able to see an attack in the subject article; I see none. Usually Guy Green articles just leave me wondering what his point is. Typically his articles are a collection of clichés and humor attempts that spin and go nowhere; not unlike reading a memo from Chip Borkenhagen.
The irony is when you remove Guy's $5 words, he's "doing" exactly what he claims "The Good Doctor" is, being childish; which incidentally, Mr. Samp, is a form of "irony," not "hypocrisy." Guy believes what he says. The cruel irony is you chastise Guy for attacking someone, by attacking him.
The hypocrisy would be your taunt at Guy for his attempts at public office; at least he has put forth effort to practice what he preaches. Ironically, Mr. Samp, I cannot recall seeing your name on a ballot. Have you ever ran?
Regarding Guy's Feb. 25 opus, Patrick can retire and chase his dreams. Good for him! Going on an archeological dig, my wife and I both would be down with that, would be an amazing experience! Guy missed some "fossilized remains," his clichés and humor; like the hydro-dam, they're old and in need of a lot of work.
Gary Scheeler decides to retire. Good for him, he's run the race and made it to the finish line. It's his business Guy; he has his right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness. You also neglected to mention a new owner is supposed to reopen the business in April and this is a slow time of year for lawn and garden equipment. Personally Guy, to me it sounds like the ol' silver fox thinks those grapes are sour without tasting them.
