Reader Opinion: It can be done

Free tuition? Give me a break! My education at Macalester was paid for by myself by working 30 hours in an office, organist, etc.

I paid for 18 1/2 credits, books, gas for my car as well as all related expenses.

Spring break? (Florida, Mexico, etc.) Binge drinking? Never heard of it.

There were fellow students who would take a while to work and save for the next term, etc.

It can be done if young people want an education. I paid for my education and do not want to hand out money for another's.
