Reader Opinion: Job well done

I want to say to Rep. Rick Nolan congratulations and thank you for a job well done. The Iron Range, facing disastrous financial job losses, was saved thanks to you.

I want to say to Rep. Rick Nolan congratulations and thank you for a job well done. The Iron Range, facing disastrous financial job losses, was saved thanks to you.

Directly from your report, a meeting which came at Representative Nolan's request, is often referred to on the Range as "the day that changed everything." It triggered one of the largest crackdowns on steel dumping in history against China and 11 other trade cheater nations. Along with United Taconite UTAC is gearing up with a $65 million investment to produce the new, 21st Century mustang pellet, a high-grade product that the company predicts will guarantee mining jobs on the Range for generations to come.

You have given back to the range a couple of thousands of jobs. We were lucky to have you with all your knowledge and skills to save this range. Job well done, thank you again.
