Tuesday's Brainerd Dispatch reported coverage of the Baxter City Council. It read that the disposal of items stored at the North Water Tower was approved, along with other items to disposed of at Hengel's or the Crow Wing County Landfill. Since these items were paid for by the residents of Baxter, why not put them up for public sale first? The landfill, our gift to future generations, should always be a last resort.
