I would like to comment on the recent news reports and the opinion page of the Brainerd Dispatch.

In general you seemed to have a fair balance in reporting controversial issues and balancing the opinion page.

Lately, and since Trump has been in office, there appears to be a trend to report and publish anything negative about Trump. Feb. 15 there are three Reuters articles about Trump on the same page regarding the resignation of his national security adviser and the reasoning behind it. And all (albeit Cal Thomas' remarks) the opinion, letters to the editor and cartoons are degrading of Trump.

It appears you are following the major media practice of hammering to bring not only Trump down but with it our constitutional government. That is the reality!

We like to think our local newspapers are the last bastion of truth, fairness and balance (sometimes you have to dig for the truth).

Thank God there are various avenues to find it outside of major TV and newspapers. Though Kathleen Parker and the Washington Post, the New York Times and LA Times think anybody outside the East and West Coasts (see her Guest Opinion a while back) couldn't possibly be "educated" and know what's going on.
