Lead is a toxin that can poison wildlife when consumed and there is no safe level of lead in
humans. In a recent statewide survey, 76 percent of Minnesotans supported phasing out the use of lead in ammunition to protect wildlife and humans.
The Minnesota DNR estimates that 178 tons of lead were deposited on state lands during the 2017 small game hunting season.
I am very disappointed that my representative, Dale Lueck, voted to continue to prohibit the
DNR from taking any action to reduce the use of lead ammunition on state lands (May 14,

As a nurse I know lead is lethal. We can do better. Vote for a representative who better
supports their constituents.
