She's not "Just a dog." She traveled 1,500 miles in a U-Haul cross-country with me after I divorced; was at my side for the death of each of my parents; she has been my comfort for too many lonely nights to count and my source of joy when i had none elsewhere.

You picked up more than "just a dog" along the road by Merrifield this past Christmas.

Maybe her ID tags had fallen off. Maybe you haven't seen the scores of neon posters I've scattered around that area. Maybe you didn't get one of the more than 550 flyers I've had printed and personally distributed. Maybe you don't have internet and haven't seen my daily postings. Maybe you just don't care.

Taking a dog or any pet is wrong, it's also illegal and rightfully so. I don't just feel this way but a dog is considered property under the law. Taking an animal is theft.

If you have any compassion at all you will return my dog. She is not "just a dog." She is so very much more. I implore you to do what is right and return her to me. No questions will be asked.
