In 1939 Hitler ordered people killed that Hitler deemed unworthy of life, thus beginning the extermination of peoples who were different as determined by a certain few people in power. Doctors were ordered to neglect patients and then it was decided who was worthy to live. Do you folks see where I am going with this? By 1941, 70,000 people were lost due to a perception of who fit the vision of a perfect race. This preceded the Holocaust by two years. All of this led by a man looking for the perfect race. The list of atrocities has been written over the years in many books from those who lived through that horrific period in time. Yet here we're are again with a group of people who decide who is fit not to be discriminated against based on so called Christian values. I am picking my words carefully here so I do not scare those whom I am trying to support. I wonder every day how people can carry so much hate in their souls and claim Christianity as an excuse to target that which they deem different or unworthy using their interpretations of the Bible. I see this in others claiming religion too in other countries.
If we sit back and decide we are not going to get involved in preventing this it simply means then we condone it. I do not want to be thinking about and writing about this cause it hurts, as well it should hurt, but I am not going to remain quiet. I would have to give up my humanity to remain quiet!
