There were, of course, nation-wide, gaggles of nasty and poorly reasoned "opinion" pieces blaming Congress, the NRA, bribed politicians, and, in the cases of Planned Parenthood and the ACLU, even Christian theology and homophobia in America for the Orlando massacre. But we fortunates in Brainerd merely had to turn to the humble pages of our Dispatch for the actual essence of this perniciously politicized poison.
An offering from Hackensack was most illustrative.
Almost everyone to the right of Che Guevara is to blame in this person's mind. (Yes, that would be the same Che Guevara who used a simple small handgun to penetrate the skulls of those unfortunates in La Cabana prison who found themselves on the wrong side of his leftist dreams.) While everyone of her political and moral inferiors get a heaping helping of her blind contempt, she has only a tempered "unstable" to offer as a drive-by descriptive for the actual perpetrators.
I'd say her reasoning was odd, but it happens to coincide precisely with the teachings of the Party of the People right here in the home of Minnesota Nice.
The writer's purpose is obviously not to prevent future atrocities. It is to use such acts of Islamic terrorism to establish her "moral superiority" and make political hay for her merry band of tenacious leftists.

Now, it is for us to decide. Is she compassionate? Or merely Ameriphobic?
Might even "conscienceless" be up for consideration?
