It seems we in the Crow Wing County area are following the national trend with government completely out of control; self establishment of control of the people through appointed leadership to include a county administrator who seems to dictate to the county board his wishes and not the wishes of the voters, creating a monarchy sitting on the mountain out of reach of the voters. This board, with too many professional politicians who sit in power and tell the rest of the board that they should listen to them because they have more experience and seniority, a very good example of the need for voter imposed term limits.
Stop bureaucracy and high paid department heads appointed by the board. The best kind of government is one where the government feared the people, when government fears the people there is liberty. When the people fear the government there is tyranny. If you threaten my family, my home, or my country I will come right back at you with my vote. If you do not want the horns stay away from the bull.
The county board has taken away your vote by changing the way positions are filled. We the people should decide this, not professional politicians. I urge you to sign the circulating petitions to bring this issue to the voters. Concerned Crow Wing County Voters will be at the county fair in Building 5, please stop and sign this petition to return control to the voters. Do not let them steal your vote.
