Reader Opinion: Pray for teen drivers

"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not on thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths." Proverbs 3:5&6.

I'm wondering when distracted and drunk driving death will be close to each other? Either way it's very sad!

My son started driver's ed last week. He doesn't have a cellphone, thank God, there's enough other things to distract, but it gives me pause to have a reason for prayer for young drivers, with so much on their minds, plus driving weary and tired sometimes, "I can make it," texting, phoning, drinking, being distracted by others in the car and of course, learn the ropes of driving and being behind the wheel. Yeah, pray each day for these young drivers!

Famous last words. For those drinking or super tired, "I only have a mile to home. What can happen in a mile?" For those texting, "Only two more letters..." God help those and all those on the road, it's not just the young that have bad judgement!

At least my hair is already gray. Thanks for praying for my son and I'll pray for your young drivers Amen.

Being a little bit of a historian, it's not Nixon but Andrew Johnson that's going on in Washington. I hope the Dems have a similar result. As for asking Comey for loyalty, I think he was just asking if he can trust him. Finally, when Trump said he was surprised by how hard the presidency was, he may have been naive enough to believe even the "swamp" wanted to make America great again, but Trump beat Hillary!

Anyway, God bless your summer. Amen.
