Ruth Nelson has been an integral part of the school district as a board member for over 12 years. She understands how the district works and has been a big part of leading us through challenging times while assuring our students of the Brainerd School District have an award-winning education. She has been a strong supporter of the need for safety and handicap accessibility in the changes to our upcoming building renovations. As a retired teacher, I can tell you Ruth continues to take time to visit our schools and talk to our students, teachers and administrators to understand the issues we face.
