We watched socialism slowly destroy Venezuela over the past 20 years and the media said nothing. When it finally got bad enough that people of Venezuela started rioting in the streets because they were running out of food, then the media finally started reporting on it. Socialism finally destroyed a country that once was the richest country in South America. A country that had the highest personal income in South America. Socialism doesn't work, period. As my grandson and I watched, the proud people of Venezuela used rocks, sticks and plastic bottles against the police with guns controlled by a dictator. My grandson asked why don't the people have guns? Because the first thing a socialist government does is confiscate all firearms or at least try to, I answered him. It will be interesting to see how this works out in Venezuela. I wonder if the population had been armed if it would have been different. I guess we will never know. Our forefathers seemed to think it was important for the people of the United States to be armed when they gave us the Second Amendment. I wonder why the new democratic socialist party is working so hard to remove firearms from the hands of the people? Is it because they know that a armed population would never put up with what happened in Venezuela? Why is the mainstream media pushing so hard for gun control? Is it because they are in the pockets of the new democratic socialist party? This is something for all of you to think about!
