A gentleman recently used philosophical reasoning to discredit the value of the "Golden Rule." His opinion was entitled "God's Word is the standard." It certainly had the appearance of an astute and impressive article, full of big words and phrases most of us could care less about. But aimless philosophical meanderings are boring and meaningless to society as a whole. I would rather be a "mindless piece of star stuff," than play word and mind games on myself trying to believe in a fairytale.
