As a Minnesota resident and avid angler, I'm very concerned about the real motive behind Bill HF 3207. This bill was crafted by Rep. Mark Anderson who has a home on Gull Lake. This malicious bill eliminates the state from stocking muskies in six lakes, including Gull Lake. Anderson is mad the DNR attempted to stock muskies in "his" lake. Therefore he gets vindictive and launches this bill to forever punish musky anglers in this great state.

This is wrong on all levels and truly sets a bad precedent. There absolutely is no biological data that proves that the presence of muskies a given lake is detrimental to gamefish populations. Leech, Vermilion, Cass and Bemidji are all fine examples of great musky lakes that are great walleye lakes. Lake associations do not own the lakes, nor should wealthy politicians be able to

use their emotions to create such a nasty piece of legislation. Muskies bring a lot of tourism dollars to this state each year. They aren't like bull sharks, people. They don't hurt any lakes they reside in. Stop the fear mongering, and let the Minnesota DNR do its job.
