The American Legislative Exchange Council is an organization which hands pliable representatives bills to pass into law in order to advance corporate interests. All of these ALEC "Stand Your Ground" bills only increase murder rates and are hugely beneficial to drug dealers and career criminals, making it more difficult to prosecute them. In their business, their life is usually threatened by another drug dealer or career criminal. The law will indemnify them when they're having gun fights to see who gets to distribute heroin in Crow Wing and Aitkin counties. The only other beneficiary is the gun manufacturer. Gun sales will increase and so will tragic accidents associated with poorly trained gun owners. Let's demand the GOP caucus has testimony from county prosecutors and police before any vote on this bill. They will find out my concerns are true and based in fact. They need to serve your constituents interests, not be an errand boy for the American Legislative Exchange Council. I don't want murder rates in my state skyrocket like they have in Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, and all the others where these laws have passed. I know the GOP has demonstrated an affection for "alternative facts" but I still call a lie a lie. Let's stop this ALEC nonsense. Greg Olson
