Reader Opinion: The 2019 U.S. Congress

The U.S. Congress seems to be doing what the do-nothing Republican Congress neglected to do. That is to act on its oversight of the executive branch of government.

I am encouraged with their actions so far in looking into the repulsive actions of the man who is disgracing the office of the president of the United States.

However, some of the actions of members of Congress are close to stepping over the line in some of their statements. It is imperative that they don't bring themselves down to the level of Trump's vulgar remarks and actions.

As members of our federal government, they need to serve with dignity and integrity, to do less is not representing the people who trusted them enough to put them in office.

On another subject, I am all for capitalism, but I am vehemently against corporate greed.
