"My body my choice." This is the excuse many women in America use to justify their abortion. I believe this excuse is not only selfish, it is wrong. These women are assuming that this decision belongs to them and them only. When a man and a woman have sex, they are fully aware of the possibility that it may end in a pregnancy. If they are willing to take this risk then they are willing to share your body with another for nine months and then give them birth. By conceiving a child, you are giving up sole ownership of your body and it is no longer "your body, your choice." For many abortion cases, it is far more convenient for the mother to abort the baby and go on with her life, which is disgusting. That is the most selfish thing another person can do is prioritize their convenience over the life of another. There are situations in which the pregnancy may kill the mother or in some way do more harm than good. I feel terrible for the people put in situations like these and I believe they have every right to terminate the pregnancy. However, over 90 percent of abortions are done out of convenience for the mother and I agree, in some cases it does inconvenience the mother and a lot of times they are not ready to be a mother but that still doesn't warrant her killing your baby. There are so many other options like adoption and federal programs to help people raise a child. Abortion is not the answer and nor will it ever be. There is no moral reason to kill an innocent baby, once you are pregnant, it is not your body and not your choice!
