"This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it." - Psalm 118:24.

I wrote two letters just before Thanksgiving that the newspaper said were undecipherable. They couldn't understand my handwriting. If this one isn't, and makes it in, here's a recap.

First, I hope and pray you had the kind of Thanksgiving I wished you. First, that you had lots to be thankful for and if not you had the attitude of gratitude like Job and Paul had. Job told his wife after she told him to curse God and die "Are we to accept good only from God and not trouble?"

I wrote how Nov. 2 was a day of prayer for the persecuted church, or what my wife called the real church. I said how living in a warm house, never knowing the pains of hunger and never worried about being arrested for public worship it's hard to imagine being in their shoes. I pray we all pray Hebrews 13:36 " ... as if yourselves were suffering." Amen.

I also wrote that the attack on the rich during the campaign was like the Bolshevik revolution revisited. How in Nolan's acceptance article he lectured us about what the election was about, basically more rich bashing. When the election was about who would outspend and out lie the other guy and the Democrats won. Congratulations?

That's what I wrote. With Christmas so close I'll wish and pray you all a very blessed Christmas and 2015. I also hope and pray you have received God's greatest gift, His Son, Christ and if not, you do, sooner than later! Amen. God bless us everyone.
