In the Dispatch Article of Oct. 29, regarding the election for the position of county recorder I feel compelled to correct information that Mr. Liedl put forth in his statements. He stated that he believes that the recorder's Office has too many management positions for the small nine-person staff and that along with the recorder there is a deputy and two supervisors. Actually my supervisory staff consists of Chief Deputy Doug Hansen. In addition there is one technical/administrative coordinator and six technical/administrative specialists. The coordinator and the specialists are union positions and not supervisory in nature. It would seem that if Mr. Liedl is so sure he knows how to improve the recorder's office he would at least know its current structure.
