John Ward has proven to be an effective legislator for our area as well as the state of Minnesota. He works hard at the Capitol and gets positive legislation passed with bipartisan support. Because of that, he has been recognized by a number of organizations in our state. The following awards and recognitions have been earned by John Ward, since he has worked as our representative.

• 2007 American Heart Association Legislator of the Year Award.

• 2007 Minnesota Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation Legislative Award.
