In Part 3 of a four-story preview of the 2021-22 Minnesota Gophers' hockey season, we meet Ben Meyers, who hails from a relatively unknown part of the State of Hockey, and could legally buy beer as a U of M freshman. Now a junior, and in his second year as part of the team's leadership, he is renowned for strength and an unmatched intensity on the ice.
As a member of the Fargo Force, Ben Meyers led the team offensively in 2018-19. A year later he was the top freshman for the Minnesota Gophers as he made a fairly seamless transition to college hockey. While he waits for some kind of normalcy to return, Meyers returned to Fargo to help with the Force tryout camp.
