On May 5, over 150 members of the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe, family and friends gathered together at the Health and Human Services Building in Onamia to remember those lost.
The Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe Family Violence Prevention Program will be raising awareness for missing and murdered indigenous relatives Thursday, May 5.
The event is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at 53 sites across Minnesota.

The Mille Lacs County Sheriff's Office responded to the fatal incident reported at 10:45 p.m. in Kathio Township, north of Onamia.
