Last year, Moondance organizers ended two long-standing summer music festivals: Moondance Jammin Country Fest and Moondance Jam. Organizers of the Walker-based events revamped their 2022 summer schedule under the umbrella of Moondance Events, which will include shorter country and rock weekends.
The increase was higher than the recommended increase from the Citizens Budget Committee, but the increase came with a stipulation that the county department heads and budget committee try to reduce it as much as possible.
After being canceled last year due to the pandemic, the Moondance festivals are now ready to make a comeback this summer in Walker, organizers announced Friday, March 26. The 15th annual Moondance Jammin Country Fest is scheduled for June 17-19, and the 30th anniversary of Moondance Jam will be held July 22-24.
