Sara Guymon

Sara Guymon recently joined the Brainerd Dispatch as a staff writer.

Guymon will cover Business and the City of Baxter, as well as breaking news, feature stories and other duties for the Brainerd Dispatch.

Guymon grew up in New Ulm, Minnesota. He graduated from New Ulm Public High School and went on to attend college at the University of Minnesota Duluth. While at UMD, Guymon pursued a major in journalism and a double minor in photography and international studies.

Prior to coming to the Dispatch, she worked as a student journalist and sports firection for The Bark. She also interned for the Duluth News Tribune and UMD’s Public Relations Department.

In addition to her internships, she worked as a student photographer for UMD’s Sports Information and as an on air announcer for KUMD, now known as The North 103.3.
