Former Brainerd Warriors pitcher Nick Anderson is in his second season in the major leagues as a relief pitcher for the Tampa Bay Rays.
Anderson was activated Friday, Sept. 4, from the injured list after a 10-day stint because of stiffness in his forearm.
Anderson returns with Tampa Bay leading the American League Eastern Division.
In 11 games, Anderson is 1-0 with three saves, four holds and a 0.00 ERA. He’s struck out 15 in 9.1 innings pitched and allowed just four hits and one walk. Opponents are hitting .125 against him.
