Central Lakes College head softball coach Ray Austin was named the Minnesota College Athletic Conference Northern Division coach of the Year.

Central Lakes clinched the division title with a 21-3 division record. It finished the season 30-13-1 overall.

In 40 games, CLC scored 344 runs and owned a team batting average of .318. CLC pitchers owned a combined earned-run average of 3.74, while opponents pitchers owned a 5.75 ERA against the Raiders.

The Raiders were a win away from the NJCAA National Tournament.

Raiders land three on all-state team

Lindsay Hendrickson, Lisa Kossan and Brianna Meyer were named to the Minnesota College Athletic Conference All-State team.

The all-state team is comprised of the nine top vote-receiving nominees from each division as selected by the conference coaches.

Hendrickson, a sophomore first baseman, produced 70 RBIs. She hit 11 home runs to go with two stolen bases and 39 runs scored.

Kossan, a sophomore second baseman, hit .570, which was second best in the MCAC. She collected four triples and 41 RBIs for the Raiders.

Meyer, a freshman catcher, led the division in base runners caught stealing. She nabbed nine. She also hit 514 with 38 RBIs and 42 runs scored.
