Once again the Confidence Learning Center Fishing and Golf Classic was a huge success.

Success for this great event for me isn't measured in fish, and for most golfers isn't measured in a score. It's about so many volunteers, anglers, golfers and businesses all coming together to pull off a great weekend and raise money for the campers at Camp Confidence.

This year the weather cooperated for everyone and the fish seemed to cooperate, too. Many teams came to the weigh-in with some nice bags of fish. Our boat was pretty lucky and we had a livewell full of bass, pike and walleye. Trying to figure out what category to weigh in was the hard part. We ended up tying for second place in the mixed bag division. Well, we actually got third because a tiebreaker. Myself and "walleye Willy" had an arm wrestling match to settle the tie. And he sure is strong for his age.
