After a halftime break, the Brainerd Warriors outscored Duluth East 4-1 to post a come-from-behind 7-6 victory Saturday, May 15, at Adamson Field in Brainerd.

Brynne Folden and Avery Muhlholland each scored twice for the Warriors with Madison McKenney, Breya Sawyer and Grace Aadland each tallying a goal to push Brainerd’s record to 3-5

“Our defense came together and started shutting stuff down,” Warrior head coach Tina Nagel said. “Duluth East had one signature play on the attack that they continued throughout the second half. We eventually just shut it down.

“Then in the second half, our attack started coming together and seeing the holes in their defense.

Macy Peterson earned the win in net and the praise of her coach. “She played unreal for us,” Nagel said.
