MOUNDS VIEW - Zachary Denny punched in two goals and also spent some time in net making four saves as the Brainerd Warriors wrapped up their regular season with a 7-2 victory over Mounds View in North Conference play Tuesday.
Also tallying Warrior goals were Dalton Schreier, Blaise Edinger, Jacob Heinlen, Jake Heikkenen and Lucas Clover.
Cody Vleck, Heinlen and Heikkenen were credited with assists.
Once again Brainerd rotated several goalies. Randy Volkmuth blocked six shots while Heinlen had four saves and Vleck three.
The Warriors finish regular-season play 9-1. With Tuesday's win they secured the No. 1 seed in the North Conference and a first-round bye for the state playoffs which begin next week.

"Everyone saw a lot of playing time tonight," said Brainerd head coach Todd Person, "and it was great to see our kids finish the season strong.
"As we have done for most of the season, we moved the puck well and it was great to see Lucas Clover get his second goal of the season off of a great pass from Jacob Heinlen and Jake Heikkenen.
"We need to make sure to continue to work hard in practice because everyone knows the level of competition at the state tournament (March 13-14) is always tough."
