ROCHESTER-Blaise Edinger netted four goals and Matt Allord recorded three goals and four assists for the Brainerd Warriors who extended their unbeaten streak to 32 games with a 9-3 win over the Dakota United Hawks in their season opener Friday, Jan. 4 at the Rochester Century Tournament.
Kaydyn Robinson and Maddox Cannon added goals for the two-time defending state champion Warriors.
"For the first game of the year our players responded well," said Brainerd head coach Todd Person. "Maddox Canon, Blaise Edinger and Matt Allord all gave us a significant amount of minutes on the floor tonight. They worked well together and it was fun to watch their experience show as they moved the puck around to create opportunities.
"The other players all did well filling in as needed. Tate Boelter started in the net for us tonight and showed improvement as the game went on which was great to see."
Boelter finished with 15 saves as the Warriors outshot Dakota 24-12.

"We have some work to do with positioning on both ends of the floor," said Person, "but overall we were really pleased with how the team played tonight."
